Marine City, MI.
Going by the book, Vehicle markings 1945-1954, it should be 15" dia. located 1.5 inches from the dashboard so it's visable with the windshield up or down.
I'll check my '51 M38 hood when I go to the shop tomorrow and see where it's located.
