LED parking, running, turn, brake lights?

Anyone had any luck plugging LED bulbs into the factory light sockets

Tried the plug in type in one of my trucks. Less than stellar results. If you convert the tail lights, use the big board from LMC. It spreads the light through a cross section of the lens. Skip the LED backup lights and clearance markers. It looks like a little yellow dimple on the front.

Someone did a thread or put it in the 'what have you done..' thread here recently on LED brake lights. They did look nice, but expensive if I remember correctly.

yeah lmc has them for like 300 or something like that. I did led flood lights wow bright probably shouldnt use them on road but some of the back roads of nc are pretty dark

Good to know. I was hoping for a permanent bulb solution. Got my new sockets in the mail, but am still trying to make the daughters 99 Cherokee pass inspection. Stupid computers and o2 sensors suck.

Nah they are only $120. They seem pretty cool, and worth it. But I have more important things on the truck to put $120 into.

I replaced all my blinking lights with LED bulbs for about $30/pair, 5W LED reverse bulbs that are ridiculously bright as well. I got them here Pair 1156 BA15 5W CREE LED Reverse bulbs I don't have the truck on the road yet, so I can't give them a complete review, but I like how they look so far.
