LMTV Cover on my Deuce

Let me start by thanking Chris and Vinny. During their trip to pick up Chris' new trailers and deliver parts around the South East they managed to find some excess cargo covers. I believe that this cover is for the LMTV and fits my deuce with very little modification. The cover is taller then the standard deuce so I picked up some red oak 1X3X6 to make new ones. I added nine inches to the length of the standard upright for a total of 54" of length. Drilled some 1/2" holes in the correct spot and am good to go. The rear needs a bit of adjustment left to right to sit perfectly but ran out of daylight and the wind started to kick up sand. Also replaced the old J pipe as the old one had a bit of a rust issue. Once the Shop Van is complete then it is on to the trailers, though the generator trailer made a good work space today. Hope to have it finished before the heat gets out of hand as it is warm enough already.

Looks good, even better than when we put it on the first time on the side of I75 at the rest stop With the taller bows it looks like it was made for the truck.

That J-pipe had reached the end of it's service life!!!

Luckily a new one will allow a much quieter ride to the Ga. Rally!
