Local VFD gets new deuce

Saw this driving down the road just the other day, got the better half trained pretty well now as she said "hey! there is a deuce" Took a pic with my crappy camera phone.I will be hitting these guys up, as I am sure they ditched the troop seats and such, might even have a cargo cover if I am lucky.

I have said it before and will say it again, check your local VFD's, make friends and do some trading.Always good to see some deuces still working!Looks to be an early 70's, it had nice carc but they are in the process of a repaint.

:) you should have gotten that bridge plate off before they painted it....oh well.... As you said make friends with local fire companies and wildland firefighter crews. They have access to much govt surplus. I got a new bridge plate and some gun holders out of a CUCV they were painting red for fire service one time.
