Looking at adding a Clarktor 6 to my collection

Does anyone have experience with the Clarktor 6 tugs? I have always wanted one since my father worked for Delta Airlines and he would take my brother and I for rides on the tugs they had (obviously pre 9/11). He said that most of the ones Delta had in BTR and MSY were made in the 40's and 50's. There is one for sale close to me and I am not sure what they are worth or if spare parts are available for them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Some pictures would help with an idea of value. I have seen many projects here and there for under $1000. I have a 1944 military tug and a 1963 civilian model, both projects that were $500 each (cheap in my opinion). Some parts seem to be hard to find so I would pay more for a complete one in mostly original condition with things like headlights and brackets, side covers for the engine, air cleaner.

Parts should be no problem, the engine is the Chrysler 230 right out of a zillion vehicles. That one is called the Clark model Mill 44, with the dual wheels. I believe that one is post war. I had one of these a long time ago, it was a POS so sadly I scrapped it. The fenders are like a ton each. There used to be a Yahoo group (I think it was called that) and the moderator was an employee at Clark, who had access to all the production records, and would supply the info to anyone interested if they supplied the serial number.

I believe the model is CT40 and probably made between 1950 and 1958. The yahoo group is now on facebook and has lots of great info. The admin there can usually give a copy of the build card with information on where it was originally shipped to.
