Looking for a specific member. Help?

I have heard a specific member can help me with what I am looking for. I don't want to get it in trouble with a bad post. How can I search for a certain member and send him a message?

If he's a member, click 'community' at the top, then 'member list' and search there

Or go to the advanced search and search for "threads started by". as you type in the name it will bring up names of members, kind of an auto fill.

I only know his real name through a friend that told me he has (or might have) some knowledge about the M917, M916, M920 trucks. Not sure his member name.
