LSSVs in the pipeline?

(Since this seems to be the correct forum for this vehicle.)

Here in Vermont, it appears the USDA LSSVs are being retired. Granted, I can only confirm two completely different vehicles for certain. It seems they’re being replaced by Nissan Frontiers.

The LSSVs I had seen looked extremely worn out with badly faded paint jobs, and I realized I hadn’t seen one in months. Then last night I saw one of the license plates on a Frontier.

So… does anyone know if the old trucks will be hitting the auction pipeline soon?

Maybe, Maybe not.

I picked up a former Air Force regular pickup that was specifically intended for around the base duty/crew duty.

It was then given to the USDA.

USDA then gave it to Oklahoma State University

OSU then used and abused it even more and then parked it in a field for 3 years before they auctioned it off through GSA.

It runs and drives just fine today.
(After lots of work/parts).

LSSVs will probably be auctioned off at some point.
When is anyone’s guess.
It could be years before they hit the market.
