Does anyone know if these rivets or whatever they’re called, can be reused?
If so, how to remove them without destroying them?

I need to address this rust and need to remove the tag to do it.
I know they’re grooved so when they get hammered in, they twist and tighten.

If these aren’t able to be reused, then I’ll just use regular rivets with sealer to keep moisture out.

Will also try using a new pair of vise grips.
Dont think it will work but have to try.

Don’t know if they’re aluminum or steel.

Will look tonight in the TM and see if they’re listed so i can get the size to order new ones.

i imagine they're "drive pins". My experience is with them holding tags on vintage woodworking machines. You can sometimes get a sharp chisel under them, and pry up. Usually they get damaged, and you need to replace. They're a few bucks for a lifetime supply through McMaster Carr. Available in steel, and stainless I expect.
