m-416 tires, do i need tubes?

okay i have a 66 stevens m-416 trailer and the tires need replaced. the originals need tubes but if i go with a modern tire do i still need tubes, will the bead seal?

also whats the largest p metric tire i can run on the trailer. i have p245/75R16 goodyear MTR's on my rubicon that might fit? i have a tire machine so i can do some swappin i guess.

the original rims need tubes.

also the lock ring on the rim can be dangerous when airing back up, if you dont know what you are doing. I'd recommend taking them up to a tire shop that does large trucks, they will be familiar with them and have the proper safety gear.

Actually, the M416 wheels are the same as the M151A2 wheels. They do NOT have a lock ring, but they do need tubes.

As far as swapping out the tire size, can't help with that... I've only ever run the NDCC tires on my stuff.
