Hi Folks,

Some kid threw a stone through my M1008 driver side window glass :x so at the moment I am driving with full on AC!!! Has any one out there got a spare one to sell and if so would they be willing to post to Ireland? Feel free to PM if you prefer.

As always your help would be appreciated as I can't locate one this side of the big pond!

Take care......

darn it, I have a passenger side glass. Its the same glass as all chevy trucks and the blazers of that era (77-87).

I think that LMC truck would ship you one if you cant find one local to you.

Damn, what was the name of that guy in England with the 1009? It was desert tan and he knew a guy with a bunch of US vehicles...

Hi Folks,

Thanks for the info about possible alternatives. I've been keeping an eye out on eBay but most door glass listed is for the passenger/RH side and any other that I've seen won't ship outside the USA :( Hopefully my luck will turn soon.

Thanks again........

Like he said, look around. Any 1977 thru 1987 Chevy or GMC truck will have the same glass.
Civilian and Military trucks are the same no ifs or buts. The military just added on to the civilian model - 24volt system, tie downs, black-out lights.... so on. CUCVs and M880s that is. Most of the parts you can get at an auto parts store. Once out of the box they are the same. The part numbers in the parts TM (not the NSNs). are the GM numbers not military.

Common guys, read his first post...he's in IRELAND...as in over in the North Atlantic next to Wales and England Ireland. Somehow I doubt many parts stores over there stock 73-87 GM truck parts...actually, I know they don't.

CUCV IRL, see if any of the members on SS here from England know anyone with CUCV's or any of the yards that scrap out US military vehicles. The guy who's name I can't remember had pictures of a yard literally filled with US light duty vehicles and many CUCV's.

Not many companies will ship overseas, something about exports laws.

RE: Re: RE: glass

door glass should not be a problem.... if you can find a local shop that can cut tempered glass .. just take out the passenger side glass for them to use as a template and there you go.. good to hook
