M1008 Ignition Problems (steering column)

Hey guys, I just got my '86 M1008 back home from MN, and I realized that the ignition is locked up. I can tell its been messed with already because there are holes in the column from someone trying to unlock it.

I'm going to end up replacing the whole column anyway but I just need it unlocked right now so I can fire her up! I tried the flat-head screw driver and hammer method, it didn't work!

Any suggestions? Thanks.

You will have to bust the tumbler out of the column. Do not break the housing.
Get a new lock cylinder from the parts store.
Lock cylinder must turn to remove it.

Here's a vid, albeit a bit shaky, to show how it's done.
