Just bought a 86 .

Had a starting issue

upon further inpsection
I discovered that the starter
chewed a couple of teeth off the flywheel.

unbolted everything to slide tranny back
but, can't get tranny to seperate from motor.

is currently soaking with penetrating oil.
Dont want to bust ears off tranny.
any ideas?

You guys are funny.....
but you never know unless you ask I guess..

finally figured it out
was frozen at the dowel pins
jacked the tranny up a little higher than
normal, took two thin screwdrivers. tapped them
up from the bottom
between the motor and tranny
popped right loose.didn't break anything

Apprecciate the help

thought about parting this out instead of
fixing it
any idea whats a fair price to ask for the 6.2
with less than 30K miles on it?
