Is the solenoid on a M1009 with stock 24 volt system supposed 12 volt or 24 volt? The solenoid on our gear reduction starter fried itself last week, and we are trying to figure out what to replace it with. As far as the brand of starter that it is, we are going to have to call the gentleman we bought it from in order to find that out. Thanks, Lincoln.

Thanks guys. We also took the starter relay off and it was stuck "on" permanently, so we will need to get a new one of them too. Any ideas on where to find one?

if you mean the underdash relay do a search on starter relay on cucv forum and you'll find a ton of info. Very common issue. Part# is like ac40 or somethin like that.
