By the time you buy it, have it optioned out and shipped new it's $3000.. I got it 6mo old from someone who used it on a escort truck (oversized loads) for $500 with a few other federal signal LED lights thrown in.. So it was still expensive, but compared to new was cheap lol

I got the floor pans in this week, they are goodmark brand, I got them threw rockauto.. We will see how much I get done tonight, but I feel like I have a good start.. First things first, I had to start a fire for some heat in the garage

My
M1009 was pretty rust free except where the floor mats and jut backing held the moisture where seats were bolted in. I treated the rust with Eastwoods rust converter, primed and painted 383 green. I have decided to go with simple rubber mats in front that are easily removable if it leaks...they all do! That way I can dry it up and spot any new rust. Thought it would be real noisy without mats and insulation but not bad. Quieter than 998. I understand that many units removed the mats while in service. Why GM supplied them that way who knows...probably some bean counter person with no practical experience got into the act.

My opinion again. After the floor is all fixed and seam sealed get it sprayed with Line X. It does an excellent job at sealing and sound proofing and it don't matter what water leaks you have. It just dries up. I had most of mine sprayed in black and 1 in tan. The tan is nice and bright. Looks dirty faster but you just hose it out and scrub it with a brush. Had it sprayed down to the bottom of the rocker panels on a couple of them. Best deal and seems to stop the rust. Makes it solid and nice. That is my opinion.

Agree, mine was line X'ed when I got. It is VERY durable. However I drive mine on the highway for 4-6 hours a day. I will be installing the rubber floor mat with the sound deadener on the back.

I had mine sprayed all the way inside up to the roof line. I had the decals all taped off and the gate done inside and out to the ridge reinforcement. Made a world of difference. I did wheels once . Never again. They never looked clean. Hard to wash unless you used the pressure washer every time.

great job, one more thing , drill the floor and plug weld to the floor's cross members, that will make it super strong with no vibration,

Just ah suggestion. Your going to want to coat the inside of that cross member with some rust preventative coating. And also it looks like you haven't drilled any holes in order to spot weld to that cross member. http://www.eastwood.com/internal-fr...ode=ga220010&gclid=CI-S_sTX3MICFcvm7AodTVYAeA This stuff comes with ah 24" tube so you can insert it inside frame. Once inside it sprays like a sprinkler converting all the rust and coating everything with paint.

Those floors are looking good. I'm planning on finishing mine asap, one more rocker panel to go and a rear panel. Keep up the good work. Line x is excellent on these once all cleaned up.

I'm not sure if they do or not.. But after working with the floor pans, I feel a tad more confident in my sheet metal skills, so I am trying my hand at making my own.. This is the first time I've ever worked with sheet metal, and I've only (very) recently started using a mig welder (takes some getting used to) I'm used to a stick welder and doing heavy welding lol
