M1009 fuel lines at filter?

Believe me I have searched for awhile now to no avail, what is the bottom line for off of the stock fuel filter set up? Looks like a return line, I understand what the other two lines hook up to on a new spin on filter housing. I feel very dumb asking this. I have a WIX 24309 housing I want to hook up until I saw that third line off of the bottom. Again I don't ever usually ask for help and I do feel rather dumb doing it. Thanks Todd
