Hi Guys,

I am just curious.

On the M1009, what is the difference between curb weight and gross vehicle weight? and which one of those two is the actual weight if it were weighed on a scale?

Thanks, good night,

CJ

Curb weight is actual weight of vehicle , gross vehicle is total weight of vehicle and cargo. And gross vehicle weight is maximum factory load rating of vehicle.

'Curb weight' is what the vehicle weighs with fluids etc. ready to be driven.
'Dry weight' is the vehicle weight without fuel and fluids.
'Gross vehicle weight rating' (GVWR) is the maximum combined total weight the vehicle and all cargo etc. can be safely.

So to figure how much of a load you can carry you take your gross weight and subtract your curb weight. The remainder is what you can load.
