M101 Cargo Box Weight

Does anyone know the correct weight of just the cargo bed for the M101 series trailers?

Or, alternatively how about the flatbed deck that is commonly found on the M116?

M116a3 weighs 800 lbs per the TM

M101a3 weighs 1340 lbs per the TM.

By my fuzzy math that means that the bed weighs 540 lbs.

As for the weight of the M116 flat bed, I ain't got a clue.

That tech pub data really leads to my question. It appears to me that the M116A2/3 weights listed (780 or 800 lbs.) include the steel flat deck w/fenders. IF that is the case, the bed is something less than the 540 lbs. calculated weight.

Well, I answered my own question today. In case anyone is interested, the cargo box from my M101A2 trailer weighs 400 lbs.

That's rght, the naked carg box of a M101 isaabout 400 to 440 lbs or something about 200 kg.

Thanks RKBA for the leg work on that. I just got my frame welded up yesterday. with the yoke. 140lbs.
