I got mine from Eastern Surplus off of a scrap CUCV. I did pretty much the same thing. only because my 4 prong bit the dust a few years ago, I had it made to fit to a RV plug. But it is mounted onto the hitch plate.
So I would look around a scrap yard that deals with scrap MVs, you might find an old NATO plug. Just be sure and get plenty of the lead wire too.
