M1010 gpfu

I've done my fair share of research here and on the Goreweb but can't find definitive info. Does anyone know if the Gov't strips out the Gas Particulate Filter Unit from all M1010s before they are surplussed? I've looked at lots of pics online and not seen any GPFU stuff in the back.

I seem to recall seeing photos of a M1010 in CA on GL with the GPFU still intact. Other than that rarity, I've never seen one photographed or in person. I was starting to doubt their existence.

I have one in the back of my 1010 body I can go get pics of it later. never really look at it but it is there my truck is an old state SWAT truck. but I took the body off it and put a flat bed on it.
