In ways I feel sorry for this trailer haha.

The m816 has no real bed space so decided to pick up this trailer for hauling the cargo. How it looked when purchased...

Lights work, tires have dry rot issues and there is an air leak when the brakes are activated. So needs some attention but overall it's in pretty good shape. No fancy upgrades planned for it, just a storage box, spare tire carrier, and to fix the rear landing leg.

Mounted the spare tire carrier from a deuce and a half on it, passenger side by the front corner. Only the top 2 bolt holes fit onto the frame. If it's not solid enough I'll use some angle iron so the bottom 2 bolt holes can be used.

Originally I'd planned to use the large cargo box from the m923 on the trailer, but it's much larger than what will be needed for this trailer. Spare hub bearings, hub socket, lug wrench, spare bulb, and tie down straps. So thinking of using the cargo box from the m51 parts truck instead. Think it will be just about the right size for this trailer. Need to cut off that reflector and the 2 pockets for the cover/bows.

I had one of these for use behind my M108. Was handy for that purpose but the 108 has 2' less stick so I couldn't load the aft part of the trailer while hooked.

Agreed, very useful small trailer for the wreckers. Eventually this trailer will have a big brother for the larger/heavier loads of cargo.

Bringing the trailer up to the house tomorrow so the parts can be cut off/attach the storage box. Wires running to the power inverter on the wrecker is not large enough for the grinder to get up to speed.

Mounted the step box to the driver side front of the trailer today. Install went pretty smoothly. With just those 2 mounting legs it doesn't move even when I step in it and bounce the trailer, if it needs more support later I'll add a vertical mount from the bed to the box. For the current trailer plans it's just about the perfect size.
