How do you remove the rivet bolts that holds the side boards on? I have to replace the wood on mine.

If its wood, they are probably T-bolts. Just pry them out with a screw driver.

Tried to pry the end cap and only the flange broke. Tried to drift the bolt out with a punch and that did not work. Too small an area to get a dremel cutoff disk in.

I Sawzall the wood on both sides of the post then use a screw driver and hammer to bust off the little piece of wood that's left. Then a pair of bolt cutters takes those rivets right off.
