Hi all;

Just got my EUC approval for M105A2.

Was planning on towing it home about 120 miles but might like the option
of putting it on a flatbed until I have better chance to go over it.

Question is will it fit on a standard car hauler? What are the outside dimensions
of the wheels?

Thanks for the help.

Jim

One of my trailers is 82" or 83" between the fenders. The M105 fits fine.

How many straps to hold down a m105a2 on hauler?

Hi again;

I guess the M105 will fit on the car hauler from previous post.

Now.....how many and what types straps/chains should I use
to secure the M105 to the hauler?

Any advise would be appreciated :lol:

The trailer weighs 2500+#, so it's the weight of a car. A little taller though. I would use a minumum of 4 regular 2" car rathcet straps. Cross them in an X pattern front and rear. In other words, strap from the lift shackle on the right side of the 105 to the left side of the car trailer and visa versa. Once it is securely strapped down I always add at least one extra strap from the back of the car hauler to the axle of the 105. This is extra insurance for crisis braking or an unfortunate frontal collision which would send the trailer forward. At a minimum remove the cover if it has one. I also remove the front and rear end gates to assist with drag.

May want to double check that a car trailer can handle hauling a M105. May be too wide.
We covered this in his other thread(on this same recovery topic).

That is why we should continue one thread, rather than post multiple threads for one topic/vehicle/issue/question.

Let's make this simple, how wide is your trailer? We'll tell you if it will fit.

Read post # 3 again. You'll be good with your trailer(@83").
