M1070 HET on weight reduction plan

With a half tank of fuel she weighed in at 39,660 lbs in original stature.

I started removing unwanted items

I ran her back across the scale

And now she is coming in closer to the weight of a M936

I was just thinking that that is surprisingly close to the weight of my 936 considering the larger size of the HET.

If you lose those winches you'd probably drop at least another 2000 pounds.

Then I bet a 16 foot dropside bed would fit right on there.

Talk about a pickup on steroids.:shock::shock:

Or a big dump bed. Woo Hoo......that thing would haul a load of gravel.

Just think of the endless redneck possibilities you have now to put back there: 10 person spa, drop-side cargo bed, roll-off bed...

Soni, yes we are at elephant butte. I will post a bunch more pics. I need to shoot video. Just haven't yet. I plan on really testing that truck. It has made it up steeper hills than my 5 ton ever would.
