M1078 Delivery Cost

What's everyone paying per mile roughly to get these things brought home? I need to get one out of Sparta, Wisconsin and would love to drive it back, but am afraid I can't open up my schedule long enough to allow for it.

Shipping it is smarter anyways. Not saying a drive recovery can't be done, but why risk it. Get it home where you can go over it at your leisure.

It depends, fuel cost, available trucks, etc... find a shipping broker to help you out is my best advice.

Have you ever entertained the idea of maybe hiring one of the SS's to maybe fly out and drive back..?..just a thought my brother..!!

$1.75/mile or so is the going rate.

With most trucks going to FL right now due to the rise in demand for recovery (hurricanes), my experience is just over $2/mile ($2.20).

And on occasion..... you might find 98G is driving the truck pulling the trailer... with your rig on it for that price.
