I have two deuce alternators that are just about new, but they both have the same stripped connector. From talking to the NG guys I hear this is a common problem. It is the terminal with the red connector on it. Does anyone know if that plate can be replaced or repaired?

The stud on mine snapped off flush... I thought it was steel when I was tightening it, but it's not. (Some kind of white brass or a nickel alloy? It could even be pure silver.)

I drilled and tapped 1/4-20 and used a brass bolt instead of the stud.

Solder a pig tale on it to get out from under the cover and add a set of Mil connectors outside... Its the trigger wire so there isnt much for amprage.
