Does anyone know of an alternate part # for the water temp sending unit? One I can possibly get from a local parts store. Or do I have to order the MS42537-1 online?

MS24537-1 that is. Erik's Surplus is a good source for that. The commercial world won't have anything with the Packard connector. The ohm range it uses is fairly alien to commercial gauges.
