Unfortunately right now this is still just a dream but I wanna see what other people have done with this or some more knolagable opinions on the matter than mine.
So what I would like to do is swap out the body of a 50s gmc, Chevy or studebaker truck and mount that onto the frame of a deuce with a nice steel flatbed. A few other things but I'll worry about that later.
This guy just down the road from me in the next town over from me has done something very similar where he put the body of a 2003-2009 dodge crewcab on a m923 truck that seemed to turn out good.
I would be shooting for something like this old studebaker truck built for the Indian army, but with preferably a 50s gmc body:
