M35a2 brake work in Los Angeles area

Here is the short version. I'm not comfortable with the way the brake pedal in my deuce feels. It gets, in my opinion, too close to the floor too easily. I'm not comfortable with performing brake work on any of my vehicles let alone one this size. I have looked through the TM's and it doesn't seem that difficult. I would feel more comfortable with someone who knows what their doing working on this system. Is there a shop or person anywhere in the Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley / Antelope Valley area that will work on these trucks?

All the fleet/commercial shops i called politely said no.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't have any local info on who would perform this task in your area. If you do find one, it will cost you a small fortune though.

It could be nothing more than needing a adjustment but you need to do a detailed inspection to make sure.

Personally, I'd read up on the TMs and find out how to do it myself. These brake systems are painfully simple, you've just got to make sure you do it by the book. Even if you don't do the brake service yourself, you still need to read up on the TM because you cannot own and operate one of these trucks without doing at least some brake maintenance yourself. Any deuce owner has to at least be able to check fluid and know the principles of operation to spot any problems arising to be safe.
