i just swapped over a new motor in my m35a2 and did a new clutch, plate and seals, everything is new and clean, went through the process of adjustment for the clutch, i had 1.5 free play on the pedal and the rest of the way down it engages the pressure plate, well it is hard to get it in gear and this clutch feels a lot softer that i remember my old one being. any ideas what could have changed? i am stumped at this point, and this tranny is the one that was in the truck before and it worked great, Thanks

Just a thought did you take the shipping wedges out of the pressure plate ?
Was the tranny removed or just the motor ? Does it have a PTO ?

Ya the wedges are out and I do not have a pto, I can see the fingers On the pressure plate move Through the access on the bottem of the tranny, when i pulled the motor i pulled the tranny also and put them together on the ground before reinstalling them in to the truck

You might have to decrease that peddel figure. What you don't want is the throw out bearing spinning when released. You can look up the inspection cover hole and maybe try and adjust the clutch up some more. Use a flash light and like I said just make shure the TOB is not spinning with the motor running after adjustment.

It's is all adjust right the TOB dose not touch the fingers, it just seams soft like I need to get the TOB to move Farther engaging the pressure plate a little more than it is now, I don't think it would but would transmission fluid have anything to do with it?
