M35A2 Torque Rod needed/heip

I'm on my way today to a parts dealer for exactly the same thing. If he didn't torch them to remove the axles, I will pick up an extra in case you are interested.

How's the best way to remove the torque rod from the truck?

loosen the nut up.. and take a swing with a BFH

Glad you got the torque rod alright. Definately put some penetrating oil on the old torque rod and let set for awhile, it will help greatly. A large hammer as someone said will be the best tool for removing the old one. Let me know if there is anything else you need.

I'll give that BFH and oil a try. If that doesnt get it I'm thinking of using a torch on the outer dog bone and ice on the shaft. Then give a hit with that BFH.
