M35a2 trailer

So as many may know, I recently became the proud owner of a 1969 Keiser m35a2. Got it non running and installed an IP that came with the truck. I'm going to be going through the truck and rebuilding it. All new glass and top and such. Planning on a maiden voyage to Daytona beach Florida early next year for jeep beach. I'm looking to get a new trailer. I need one that will be able to haul a vehicle. But would be nice to pull behind the deuce. I'm also planning on adding a 2 inch receiver mount to the back to haul different trailers. The plan is to put my jeep Cherokee in the bed and my buddies 4 door jk on the trailer.

There are some really neat trailers coming out of U.S. sales in Europe now. I am planning on bidding for one. Post when you obtain one with the modifications you might carry out. Pictures would be good of the project too.

I'm looking for a trailer that will haul a vehicle. One that would haul 2 would be nice. Was looking at 40ft 5th wheel trailers for my f350 dually. But deuce seems better fitted to pull heavy loads

Here's the thing about deuces and trailers (and I guess this goes for 5-tons as well).

If you want to pull normal, civvy type car haulers or even deckover style trailers, you'll need a receiver hitch and a dropped drawbar. The factory pintle is so high that even if your deckover has an adjustable lunette, the trailer will be so high the rear of the trailer will drag everywhere.

The deuce is rated for 10K lbs of trailer capacity-yes, it'll pull a heck of a lot more (and I've done it) but, if you're ever in an accident, you can guarantee any attorney worth his salt will eventually figure out you had exceeded the tow vehicle's rated capacity and things will go south quickly then.

The 1061 is a good trailer but it's really high and therefore requires significant ramps and it's heavy. I can't remember their weight but it's enough that just the empty 1061 will absorb a lot of the truck's rated capacity.

I think trying to haul 2 vehicles on a trailer behind one is just going to be misery. 130hp pushing 30K lbs.......................... not for me.

This was the hitch I was looking at. As seen by what you have, obviously there's a cheaper route. I have a couple hitches laying around. Can see if I have one that will work on that back of the deuce. If I get a trailer soon it will be a single car trailer mainly to haul my jeep. If I get a large trailer it will be pulled by my dually and will be about 40ft long to hold my jeep as well as my jeep swamp buggy.

If you look at my trailer , I put old ramps on the front of it to drive the jeep on to the trailer then up into the bed of the deuce, the deuce does have a receiver and drop hitch , but just didn't like a 12 inch drop so I am making the trailer able to be pulled by my truck, deuce or my 925 ,main reason is I will be pulling my trailer with the Grand Cherokee to pick up my 925 , then hook trailer to it and load the grand on it .

I've got a 10 ton pintle pull trailer I've setup to pull behind my M932A2. It could handle two civilian vehicles no problem. I'd look into a 5 ton, versus the M35, for towing the weights you're looking at. Optimal tow rig would be a M915/916/920. There's a couple guys around you that have military truck parts. PM me if you need their info.
