M35A2... year of manufacture from VIN number???????

Is there a way to tell the year of manufacture of this M35A2 from the vin # ??

Not really. Try looking on the frame rail. It is sometimes stamped and only sometimes stamped on the passenger side frame. Just forward of the front shock mount. About a 1 1/2 inch away. You will probally have to remove a lot of paint and gunk to see it. The letters will be about 3/4 inch tall. And will look like 7-66. Mine was bulit in july 1966. Good luck it, isn't always stamped.
