Does anyone have photos of M35's with commo and radio racks mounted in the cargo bed? Mine seems to have belonged to the 133 Signal Bn. ( C Co. I believe ) of the Ill. Nat'l Guard, and there are a bunch of holes in the bed on either side and the front of the bed floor. It seems to me that the commo plt. in my old guard unit had at least a 5/4 pickup with racks for radios, and maybe even a deuce with them. But that was a very long time ago. I'm getting my truck cleaned up and painted, and I'd like to do a little display to show what it was used for. I'm not going to install any racks, and I'm filling in the holes with short carriage bolts, except for two for drainage. I'm lettering it for my Ohio unit though.

It’s possible, however there were never any Signal Corps engineered “kits” produced other than some brackets designed to mount radios on top of the troop seats. Like you said, most of the times this installation waa in 4x4 trucks.
