M37 door latch

New at this and just trying to help a friend restore a M37
Has a broken right sidr door latch . How do I take the door handle off.

Welcome from Colchester. If I recall correctly for the inner handle you have to push the escutcheon in, and push/drive out a pin.

Evil Dr. is correct, also have a magnet on the side that you are pushing the pin toward. This will save you time crawling around on the floor looking for the small pin.

Once you loose that pin, a short length of nail (the appropriate size), will suffice.
