Was there two different tranny floor boards for the M37? I know that there was a 420 model 4 speed with no synchros on gears 3-4 1950-1955. A 420 transmission with synchros in gears 3-4 circa 1955-1964. The 420 transmission with the synchros is slightly longer. Screen Shot 2017-11-23 at 8.50.35 AM.jpg

The early and late m37 transmissions both have synchros in 3rd and 4th only. The complete assemblies are interchangable and the floorboards are the same. The early one is a np88950 and the late one is a np420.
