An M38 just surfaced in a barn in SC. Headed out tomorrow to recover it, We will post some pictures when we get there.

Dave and I recovered Hood number 20943768 from a barn in Brunson, SC. The jeep had been there an indeterminate amount of time, at least 10 years.
The only significant modification was the removal of the seats and the installation or a couple CJ5 seats. Normal rusted out floors, body dents, conversion to 12 volt, and M37 tires on the original 16 inch rims
A great Find, congrats Dave on a great project starter.

First - thanks Doug for the find, hauling and storing at your place until I get a chance to get back to Il.
Shipping is arranged and should take place at the end of this month or the beginning of March. I will be posting progress and lots of questions as this project moves forward. I am thinking of starting a blog page with links from this site. Any suggestions on the best way to document the project on the web?

I love the M38 jeep! I always liked the M38s over the M38A1s. The flat hood and fenders just are more endearing to me, harken back to WWII era...

I am using Jeff Roberts to ship the jeep out of Greer SC to Algonquin IL. I will report how that works out. Should arrive early next week.

M38 arrived in good condition 2 weeks ago. Sorry for the delay in updating all. I used Uship auction to find a shipper and things worked out without a problem. Jeff Roberts did a great job for a fail price. He even help me roll the M38 into the garage. I can highly recommend him for any services you might have.
