Hi, I am posting this because I have tried everything I know to stop my trans/transaxle oil leak. My 1953 m38a1 is all original with 72K for miles. runs and drives great, just cannot find a very heavy leak. changed the transaxle pan gasket, both forward and rear bearing oil seals and still nothing. any one have the same problem or have any advice. Thanks again Gabe

Degrease the transmission/transfer, go for a ride, see where the oil is coming from. Leave the skid plate off. Assuming the yokes did not have grooves cut in the seal surface and you used silicone sealant on the splines when reassembling the yokes.
