m38a1 turn signals

Hi, Having trouble with my 24 volt turn signals on my 53 m38a1. checked all bulbs and wiring. all looks good. right side blinks and works fine, left side does not work. bulb on the turn signal handle goes on very dim then goes off when pulled down for the left hand signal. not sure what this means? can anyone help with this one? thanks again Gabe.

M38A1? Replace the handle.

That handle will come apart and you can clean the contacts. It did that on a M35A1 once.

If that does not help I am guessing wiring.

Is your tail light housing well grounded?
