M52 parts interchangeability?

Hello all, I recently helped my Uncle recover a '57 IH M52 w/the big old gasser in it.

We were wondering if the running boards from an M35 would fit on his M52?

The ones on his truck are pretty rusty. We have not had his trucks side by side with mine to compare.

Oh and just for the record:
An M211 will pull a M52 hooked up with a towbar.
I was in the 5-ton to "help steer".
It was a little scary going around corners, but we made it. Short trip luckily.
Max speed obtained on the highway: 35mph.

Since the front wheel openings are larger on a 5 ton than a deuce, I believe the running boards are different but don't take my word on it.
