i built this truck a few years ago out of mostly new parts. the pictures have been compiled and posted to part of my web site. a lot of them are of the original build and a few like the heat and a/c are later. since it has all 3 air locking axles i got a new data plate for a m-621 and call it a clone.

Awesome! I especially like the air conditioning....

I have to admit, I'm not exactly sure what I was looking at in some of the pics..... Why did you move the steering box to the outside of the frame? What is the hydraulic pump on the front of the engine for, is it power steering? What about the t-case PTO, is it going to have a dump bed or something? Tell us more!

I saw that last year when you had it at Aberdeen. I was impressed with you redesign of systems like, heat, air, brakes and drivetrain. That is a nice truck...

evap ebay #310230532684, compressor ebay #190526391870 (just a standard sanden sd508 with o ring fittings and 2 belts) condenser i don't see right now, but it was a 24" by 14" universal, i used a fairly large reciever/drier from local parts store. one front mount of the compressor will go where the alt adjusting bar goes now and you will have to remove a lot of material from a rear mount to clear water pump housing. i put helicoil inserts in all the mounting tads i used just to be able to tighten them better. one rear compressor bracket and 2 front braces and some hoses and cold air. there are pics here on ss somewhere, just search.

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed.
I'll have to engineer up a different mount though, putting a 12v alt in that location.

Did the parts store dryer come with o-ring type fittings ?

Also, do you have a pic of the new evap mounting ? Is it still above your head ?

Thanks Tom

I was able to score that evaporator and compressor for considerably less with a little digging.
When I get some more cash you'll have a copycat here :)
