M816 hoist issue

Used the M816 yesterday to lift cover off deuce engine can.
Did a couple up and downs with the hoist and no problems.
When I went to lower cover back on the can hoist would not go down.
Tried up and it still works. The cable drum does not turn and sounds
like hydraulic pump bogs down. Boom in-out, up-down and left-right still work fine.
Any ideas?
