m818 wont start

I have a 1978 m818 truck tractor with a 250 cummins the other day my lil brother was driving it and noticed that we had left the glowplug on so he turned it off kept driving now it wont turn over or start I'm thinking it melted some wiring or something any ideas?

Measure each battery voltage with a meter.

The GP draws off of ONE battery(it's 12V).

You may have one dead battery that needs charging separately to recover.

why did you NEED to use the glow plug in Florida in the summer or anytime for that matter, unless AL gore is wrong about global warming and we are REALLY in full GLOBAL COOLING :shock:

I believe you will be ok with the wireing.
Get the batterys checked and up.
The biggest problem in hard starting the 250 is if you have duel tanks and you have not taken the time to replace the rubber hoses on the slector valve for the tanks. They will start hard die out quick and then it's crank the beast till it does go.
If you have done the rubber good .
If you have not, do it asap so it don't let you down when you hands are full.
