Finally got around to pulling the top off due to a bit of corrosion. Will probably replace with aluminum.

Ouch... how does it look inside? Guessing that "insulation" is a water storage method?

Actually not bad inside. Insulation is dry as I always keep it tarped.

i did mine with steel. had cut at local fab shop.. 2 pc. self tapping 3/4 inch screws with gromits... drilled out all rivets and slid under in front.. didnt cut out for vents or fan intake.. may or may not do that.. its installed but its also mid project... not done deciding yet. will take a pic or 2 and post...looking good.. spray foam insulation would be nice...J.P.

all done.. left off the vent system.. dont want the leeks.. have them marked on roof. if they are needed for a later date..easy install, but just dont want to have water inside..J.P.
