M923A2 oil pressure

So I have a question for you guys. My oil pressure on my m923 is really low at idle when at operating temperature, the gauge is reading i would say at about 5 psi maybe it almost looks like its zero. But when i drive it the pressure is in the normal/ middle range on the pressure gauge. Is this normal for these trucks to have such low pressure at idle? or should I be looking at a future problem?

5PSI might be a bit low but the correct range does run lower then most would expect

If memory serves me right, the TM's say 10PSI or higher is okeedokee.

The 8.3's aren't much on idle oil pressure.

And you are not the first person to ask this question.

Test it with a manual gauge, I thought several of my A2's with the 8.3 had low oil pressure at warm idle until I checked the oil pressure with a manual test gauge.

mine is reading 30 psi at idle.

Mine reads 15 Psi at idle .. at any idle cold/ warm .
