Never plowed snow with my 5 ton, but drives thru bumper high snow well . Good at pulling out snow stranded diesel 3/4 tons too, so I guess you are good to go. Tru , hard ice is a challenge without chains- found that out when trying to pull a 4-4 tractor out of a ditch, then again you don't need to plow heavy bare ice.... ..
