OK, Im snowed in and bored, so I crawled into my 944 cab and started to try and figure out why I had a bunch of gauges out..

Oil pressure gauge - Nothing
Engine temp - Nothing
Trans temp - Pegged

All 3 of these gauges look brand new, They were ALL wired backwards !!! I switched the wires back and got my engine temp to work !

Trans gauge still pegged and oil pressure still nothing.

I have voltage coming out of the sender side of the oil pressure gauge ! And no ohms directly at the sender on the block.. Both gauge and sender fried ??

Does anyone know of a Napa sender that works with the 250 cummins ?
Thanks !!

Gauges fried, senders should be fine, I managed to fry a few by getting wires crossed behind the dash

OK I need help !
Replaced the oil pressure sending unit and gauge, Fired it up with the gauge not mounted (but grounded) and it worked perfect. Bolted it in the dash and its pegged out again !! Unbolted it same thing ?????????

Replaced trans temp gauge and same as before, the gauge jumps 3/4 of the way up with the truck off and the sender unplugged !!

To much voltage to the senders ????
