M998 glow plug wiring - does the order make a difference

Boy, I sure hope it doesn't. From memory, I recall the wiring schematic show that they were all commonly wired, so all 8 should activate at the same time in all instances-they should not be matched to the specific cylinder. Otherwise, the only thing specific about them should be the length of wire and thus, how well they reach and fit to each glow plug. If they all fit properly without putting stress on the wire, then you probably have it right.

NO. Parallel circuit. The length out of the wire loom may not reach to one or the other plug.

Take the shortest path, CAMO

Just a note here, If the glow plug wiring harness in your truck has all of the glow plug wires the same length and coming from a single separate connector you need to get rid of it right away. That is the LAU box that caused trucks to start by themselves and others to crank until the batteries died or the truck caught fire.

Otherwise their glow plug should be defined by their position in the harness even though it doesn't matter which order they connect.
