Main rear engine seal and bracket are stuck

How do you remove a stuck rear main seal and bracket? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

How do you remove a stuck rear main seal and bracket? Any and all suggestions appreciated.

My initial thought is tap 2 of the opposite holes on the seal bracket one size larger in thread and use 2 larger bolts to push the retainer off by screwing them in or use a slide hammer on the 2 larger threaded bolts. Thoughts?

It worked.

I just tapped a few threads down. I used the claw of a hammer and it popped off.
