OK so I found this brake line spitting out fluid and air as had my brakes lock up this weekend. I also have a major leak in the front brake hose that I am working on to fix. My question is, is this supposed to be connected into the MC in the hole I stuck it in as in pic #2? It was hissing out for a while after since I stopped the truck. I wasn't going anywhere with it just wanted to move it back and forth in the driveway to adjust the parking brake and then.. Lockdown!! It looks like it has been that way for a while (not connected to anything) and the brakes worked fine.. Looked into other posts and found nothing, also checked the TM's and didn't see a line like that on the diagram of the brake system.

Do you already have a thread about your bakes? If so, add to it, do not make an additional thread.

That line loos like your master cyl vent line. If so, it should go into the MC cap.

It's connected to the air pack and possibly your fuel tank. If air is coming out of it, your air pack is bad.

I did add to a thread earlier today but got no traction so I thought I would ask again.. sorry. Thanks for the help. The MC cap does have a 90 degree angle coming off of it so that makes sense. I think I need to bleed out the air pack as well as the whole system. The air could be getting in from the big cut I found in the front brake hose. However sounds like the airpack could be bad too.. I was hoping you would respond as you appear to have a vast knowledge of the brake system. I tried to find the TM 9-2320-362-20 that you mentioned in another brake issue post about the proper bleeding procedure but couldn't find it. Please bear with me as I am learning this as I go.. but do have mechanical knowledge. I took out a engine from a VW bug with a crecent wrench once.. Thanks again for your help, and anyone else that happens to respond..:not worthy:

The Technical Manual is TM9-2320-361-20 and is located in the TM area of this site.
