Hello folks I'm new at this forum need to see if I can get some technical assistance. Last May of 2019 I purchased an MEP804-a through Iron Planet picked it up in PA. I changed the oil filter put fresh oil, fuel filter, water separator filter and cleaned the fuel tank that had some slime at the bottom of the tank. The unit when turning the S1 switch to preheat you would get no response if turn it to start run it would run but release it quit I did see the oil pressure gauge work but no power to the panel lights. I read that the blue S1 switch are a problem. I ordered the S1 from Electroswitch #75902LV now I have power to the panel but one question I have to what #'s to connect the jumper wire in witch direction is the current is to flow. I had connected it the wires to the same location than the blue switch but still when the star switch release it quit running. Now the overspeed idiot light would come on when you hold the start and run. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

I'm not familiar with the wiring diagram of an 804, but I would say double and triple check your wire positions against the wiring diagram, before you worry about the little jumper.

Hello Light in the Dark; Thank you for replying I've spent all Sunday afternoon with the switch checking the wiring diagram but I did find that the thermostatic switch #32 was broken don't know if that might be a clue is a 2-wire connection mounted on the left side thermostat housing looking from the control panel is not the temperature sensor witch is a 1-wire lead on the right side. I checked on Green Mountain Generators is about $104.00 for the switch. This is a 1994 Isuzu 4-cyl. when you start it it runs very smooth no surging tried flipping the battle switch holding the start switch motor running when you release the start switch again it quit. Anyone have any suggestions if a vendor that might have the thermostatic switch at a better price. It might be the next step to rule out a possible. The part # is NSN-5930-01377-9113 Again any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The manufacturer on your temp switch is Index Sensors. Reach out to them (http://indexsensors.com/products.html) and tell them you want part number
8037132 or TM-512C3-220N0 .
